The Elk River Fire Department is a paid-on-call department that serves the City of Elk River, and also portions of the City of Otsego, Big Lake TWP, and Burns TWP.  There are approximately 35 members serving this department.  Call volume is approximately 400 responses annually.  The Elk River Fire Department has one fire station covering 87 square miles.
