The Hamel Volunteer Fire Department is a class 9 paid-on-call department that serves portions of the cities of Medina and Corcoran.  There are approximately 32 members serving this department. Call volume is approximately 150 responses annually.  The Hamel Volunteer Fire Department has one fire station.
