The Ham Lake Fire Department is a class 9 volunteer department that serves the City of Ham Lake.  There are approximately 34 members serving this department. Call volume is approximately 650 responses annually.  The Ham Lake Fire Department currently has one fire station covering 36 square miles, but construction on a new station (#2) was scheduled to start in late 2002.
