The Lower St Croix Valley Fire Department is a volunteer department that serves the Cities of Afton, Lake St Croix Beach, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores and St Mary's Point.  There are approximately 28 members serving this department.  Call volume is approximately 300 responses annually.  The Lower St Croix Valley Fire Department has one fire station covering 30 square miles.
