The Maple Plain Fire Department is an all-volunteer department that serves the City of Maple Plain and portions of the Cities of Medina and Orono. Information on the number of members is not available . Call volume is approximately 340 responses annually. The Maple Plain Fire Department has one fire station. Note: Effective January 1, 2004, the City of Orono will be served exclusively by Excelsior, while a new Long Lake station is built by the City of Orono in the Navarre neighborhood on CR-15. Upon completion of the Navarre station in approximately 2006, the City of Orono will be served exclusively by Long Lake from the new station. Fire Stations:
